I prefer changing my skincare routine once a while, depends on the weather and my skin status. But these skincare products I’m introducing are my holy grail, I TRULY LOVE them and I’ll keep repurchasing it, again and again!
For your information: I have combination skin, my T-zone tends to be oily but my cheeks area is normal. I prefer light-weight gel-cream and avoid any heavy/thick product for my skin type.
Facial Scrub: L’Oréal Smooth Sugars Scrub
Let’s start with some cleaning facial scrub! I’ve tried so many different brand’s facial scrubs but none of them match my expectation, they are either too gentle (as in you can barely feel the scrub) or the texture too oily for me. But then I got my hands to this L’Oréal smooth sugars scrub and I have been inviting everyone to try them since!!
It comes with 3 different scrubs: Nourish scrub, Glow scrub, and Clear scrub. They got my heart because they are pure sugar and using natural ingredients, but yet they smoothen my skin and keep it soft and moist after a facial scrub like magic!!
They all do an awesome exfoliate work, I use them whenever when I feel the roughness of my face, especially my T-zone area. And because the ingredients are so natural, it doesn’t dry up your skin. I sometimes use it more than 3 times a week and my skin could remain soft and moisturized.
Besides 3 fine sugar, 3 of them have their different features and main ingredients:
- Nourish Scrub combined with Cocoa Butter (it does smell like chocolate!!), Coconut oil, and Cocoa Grains. I found it great to soften the skin, yes, I feel like baby skin after I use it!
- Glow Scrub combined with Grapeseed Oil, Monoi oil, and Acai Powder. It gives me a luminous shine after, and to me, it’s the best to exfoliate (out of the 3 ) because of the sugar texture. I use it at least once a week for deeply clean, I would say it’s my favorite!
- Clear Scrub combined Kiwi seeds (obviously!), Peppermint Essential Oil, and Lemongrass Essential Oil. The main purpose is to clear blackheads and purify pores, but it has the least sugar from all the 3 of them. Interesting of this Clear Scrub is you will feel the heat once you start scrubbing on your skin, I like to leave it on for a couple of minutes before washing it off.

Essence: Shiseido ULTIMUNE Power Infusing Concentrate
This is a pre essence product that you use after toner, before serum. It’s also my third bottle, I couldn’t stop using it since my first one back in 2018! Not gonna lie my first bottle was a sponsorship from Shiseido back in 2018, I went to Shiseido to do a skin test before and after using this product, but I didn’t expect I would still be using it in 2020. And now I’m not afraid to say it out loud it’s a product I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT!
Attaching a photo of the difference from my very first day using it and day 7! Only 7 days and you can tell it helps to minimize my pores and somehow it brightens my skin! It has a liquidy gel texture which is perfect for me, super moisturizing but not oily at all! You can feel it absorb right away once you apply on your skin!
My skin feels pumped the next morning after applying at the night before, I’ve been using this on both my day and night skincare routine for 2 years now. Not to be exaggerated but I didn’t know what’s moisturized skin feels before using it! It’s for every skin type, it’s developed by the Japanese, and as an Asian, who doesn’t know Japanese has perfect skin?
Serum: BgCELL Pure Moist Serum
You probably not heard of this brand before, but if your skin type is craving for something light, moisturize but not heavy, this is PERFECT for you! I won’t suggest you use it on its own but to pair with other essence or serum products to give the best skin texture you are looking for. It claims it’s additive-free and suitable for any skin type, and its made in Japan!
It’s a capsule packaging which perfects for keeping it fresh and easy to bring along when you’re traveling! One capsule lasts me 4 times, I wrap it with a tissue paper after using it each time until I finish the whole tube.
Cream: MDNA SKIN REINVENTION CREAM
I have to say I’m quite picky when it comes to facial cream, anything gives me a sticky after feeling or make my skin looks oily, I’d throw to the bin right away. I tried hundred of creams including drug store & luxury brands but this is the one I would stick for.
I love to apply it all over my face and neck area especially at night, the cream texture is super smooth like a well-blended smoothie cream. It does a really good job to deeply hydrate, nourishes and soothes my skin, what I love the most besides how my skin feels after applying this, is the scent from the product, smell of heaven from a luxury spa!
I need to purchase another jar now since I’m running out of it!
Speaking of skincare products, there’s never the best but only the ones that suit you best. If you’re interested I highly recommend you try these products out from the bottom of my heart!
