Find yourself a work environment that you feel comfortable with, it could be your study room, your home office room, your kitchen top or for me, a desk right next to my bed! Create this little area with the following 5 work essentials that help you to get into a working mood without feeling procrastinate.

To have a clear mind to work, first, we need a declutter place.

‘Wait, wait, wait! I thought you said to start with a declutter place!’
Yes, this is where we are starting! Clean the desk! We all get some random stuff on the desk that could keep us being unproductive (I’m guilty of Chocolate!), clear all the unnecessary items away from your sight is the first step.

Then we can start to put in the first work essential that we need to help us focus on study.

1. Scented candles

There are so many benefits for burning candles, the essential oil from scented candles can relax our body and mind, reduce anxiety and keep us calm. Choose the right scent to boot your mood and productivity, such as Peppermint, Lemon, Cherry, Coffee, Wood, etc and my all-time favorite one is always Rose! Yes, productivity has a smell! You just need to find the one that suits you the best!

 

2. Crystal Amethyst

Crystal has its power, choose the right stone can help to bring up your productivity! Amethyst is a stone of detox, it helps to relieve confusion and keep your mind clear. If you have an Amethyst stone, put it in your hand and meditate a couple of minutes before you start working, or wear an Amethyst necklace can also help to stay clear mind.

I also like to keep some Clear Quartz on the desk along with my Amethyst to keep my focus on work.

 

3. Water

Water is everything. Physically it keeps you hydrated and stays energized, when we use our brains too long we tend to get dehydrated without realizing it. It also helps to boot our immune system and balance our blood sugar, that’s how we won’t get tired easily. Besides, keeping a glass of water next to us also gives the moisture of the air, and yes, it helps with our skins! When we feel great we perform better! Fun fact – 70% of the human brain is WATER! So now you know how much water affecting us in every way!

4. Plants/Flowers

Having plants or flowers on the desk creates a lively environment that helps our brain function better! Plants absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen for us to breathe in, keeps us steady and clam.

Green plants also good to look at, studies have shown that the color green is very soothing to the eyes. And blooming flowers triggers human brains to produce dopamine to makes us happy!

5. Music

Music is a must for everything, leave a comment if you can relate! Music makes everything better, makes you more productive, better mood and appreciates life more! Choosing the right playlist for different occasions can bring out the best of what you doing at the time, I highly recommend putting on some no vocal music with a pair of earphones to keep you away from distraction.
